Ouija Boards or as some call it "Spirit Boards" have been around for many years. To use it you and anyone else in the room place two fingers on the Oracle (Arrow looking thing with a hole at the top) and ask a question. Its best to be polite for you don't want to anger any spirits. 

It may take a while for you to get an answer and that's totally normal. When you are done with the board it is very important to say "goodbye" and wait for the spirits response. If you fail to do so you have not ended the game and may release things that you don't want in this world.

In the beginning, Devil, it has someone narrate about the stories his mother told him. Life lessons that he could use to save what would happen one not-so innocent day at work. 

 When five people board an elevator they are all there for a certain  reason. The elevator breaks down but that's the least of their problems. Every time the lights go out...someone dies. The cops in the office watch everything unfold on camera and try to figure out who is killing everyone before its to late. 

What they don't know is that one of the cops has a connection with one of the suspects in the elevator. When they start making connections they find that the killer is the Devil taken place in human form of one of the suspects they they thought was dead. 

Confessions are made and people are arrested. Turns out one of the suspects was drunk driving and killed the cops wife and kid.

In a small city with a deadly past, a killer with a Halloween mask to hide his identity is loose and killing teenagers for revenge of the past. When the killer is after Sidney and her friends it is up to her and the police department to stop the murderer from doing any more harm.

One by one people are eliminated and the killer gets closer to Sidney as Sidney and the police department get closer to the criminal. With certain "rules" of a serial killer everyone wants to make it to the sequel and everyone wants to be the star. What they don't know is that even their closest friends could be the enemies and your enemies could be the ones that keep you alive. That's why they say keep your friends close... and your enemies closer.

When a Father  named Gerry (Brad pitt) is in the car with his two little girls Rachel and Constance and his wife Karin things go terribly wrong. And outbreak of what they think is "Rabies" goes viral. Within seconds after getting bit by these rabid people you quickly turn into one yourself.

Lucky Gerry used to work with the U.S army and they get them to safety. But in order to make sure there family and the little boy they saved are out of harm he has to work with the army to find the cure for this horrible epidemic. 

When he finds himself in sticky situations he thinks quick and does whatever he can to find the cure and be re-united with his wife and kids.

What if death... had a plan or some sort of pattern? What if you could predict death and possibly cheat it? What if the choice between life or death for you and your friends was in your hands? 

Final Destination starts with a kid named Alex and a few of his friends boarding a plane (Flight 180) to Paris. All is well until he starts to freak out as little things start to happen. The seat belts wont click, the chair table is broken and he starts getting paranoid.

As the plane takes off it starts to misbehave and falls. As they are falling the plane tears apart and all of his friends fall out, but in a certain order. Then out of no where it explodes.

But BAM! Alex wakes up on the plane. It was all a dream.

But as he calms down the same exact things start to happen like it did in his dream. So, he freaks out and gets off the plane with seven other people. Those people were chosen for a reason. That reason was death.

When those seven people exit the plane they don't believe him but they remain off the plane as it takes off. Just as Alex predicted it explodes and there are no survivors. Once the police are done investigating they are all sent home. But one by one they start to die in weird but specific ways death wants them to. 

Soon they start to figure out the pattern that death has planned out for them, which is the start of Final Destination.

From recent questions I have asked the most popular answer I got was: "Coraline is one of the creepiest children's movie ever!"

I have to say that I am absolutely in love with Coraline! For the people that haven't seen it, it's about a girl named Coraline who moves into the pink palace from Michigan. She meets a boy named Wybie and they become friends (along with Wybies stray cat). What turns this movie to the dark side is when Wybie finds a doll identical to Coraline and gives it to her. 

Now Coraline is not very happy about her new home and her boring parents and does some exploring of her own and comes across a small door in the wall. During the night she goes through and meets her "other family." Everything is so happy except one thing seems to be unnatural. The button eyes.

When things start to sound a little odd she soon finds herself trapped in a world she doesn't want to be in.

In 2002, an psychological horror film was released called The Ring

It's based on a video that gets out and once you watch it, there is no turning back. You have seven more days of life before the corpse of Samara Morgan finished you.

If you haven't seen the movie take note that before the video there was a beautiful little girl who was different from most girls. Her sleeping behaviors were abnormal. She would just sit there staring. So her mother murdered her and threw her down a well.

Years later, two girls Katie and Becca were having a normal sleepover at their house alone when Katie informs Becca that she has watched the tape. Once Katies mom calls, Becca is murdered by the unknown.

When a young journalist Rachel's, son Aiden who is related to Becca starts drawing disturbing pictures his mother gets very worried that something's up. Especially when Aiden finds out stuff he's no supposed to know which is just the start of... The Ring.

The Annabelle doll

                                     We all know the famous movie The conjuring, which was based on the true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren. Well there was a story that it didn't cover (which the AMAZING producers of The Conjuring made a movie of) called Annabelle. 

It all starts when John (Ward Horton) gets a gift for his daughter Lea who is not yet born. Mia (Annabelle Wallis), the mother of Lea and wife of John, is overjoyed about the doll and sets it next to her collection. 

When the neighbors get killed by a cult of Satan they go and attack Mia and John. Annabelle Higgins happens to be apart of the cult and dies with the doll in her hands and her soul soon takes over the once beautiful toy which causes the married couple and their baby to go through some horrific episodes. Will they make it out alive? How is there problem solved?

The movie starts out with Carrie (Played by Chloe Mortez) in high school. She doesn't have friends, everyone makes fun of her because of her religious mother. Her first scene is in gym. In the showers she gets her "Once a month girl thing" and freaks out. When she gets tormented for being frightened the gym teacher sends her home early. 

When her mother finds out she is scared tells her that shes been praying she wouldn't be cursed with blood. The next few days she figures out things that she can do with her mind. So when other students play a nasty prank on her she turned to her supernatural abilities to finish them off.

Demonology

Following the horror theme I have decided to update my viewer on the creepy subject of Demomology.

Demonology is the study of demons or the beliefs of demons. Some say demons possess the bodies of those who are sad or grieving.

It uses its host as a doll or puppet and their behavior is out of the norm. The most popular solution to this is an exorcism. Its most popular in Catholic churches and christian and catholic asylums.

In order for an exorcism to take place you have to get permission from the church. Even then it is still dangerous. From my studies I have learned that the signs of demonic possession are: Death of livestock, refusal of church, room temperature changes, unusual contortions, refusal of social activities and more.

Ah yes, Creepypastas. The best place to find scary stories that can keep even the bravest adult up at night. The horror stories people submit range from paranormal to just plain gory. The website has gotten extremely famous over the years and some wonder if the tales are actually true.

The stories are submitted by random pasta fanatics are looking over by the Creepypasta owners and if the story is scary enough it is then published to the site.

Creepypastas hold literally thousands of different scary stories. The most famous Creepypasta is Slenderman. (Which I will write about in another post). But Creepypastas aren't just characters. There are also spooky tales to choose from. The question is... what will you read first?

Hello! I'm Charlotte Bowles, Horror fanatic and student at SGP 9th grade center. I'm creating this blog to review anything in the horror genre. Enjoy! 

 

THE CONJURING

This frightening movie based on the true story of the ghost hunters Ed and LorraineWarren (Played by Vera Farmiga & Patrick Wilson) takes place at an old farm house with a dark past.

A family of seven moves in from far away thinking nothing of the dusty antiques in the hidden basement. Each night unusual things occur. Pictures falling, doors opening, banging on walls make you really wonder what goes bump in the night.

In the prologue of the movie, it shows two women with the famous Annebelle doll. (which they are making a movie on now). The two women were friends who were nurses that lived together in an apartment. When they let the little girl that died move into their doll, disastrous things happen. When the little girl tries to possess the body of one of the nurses, they contact Ed and Lorraine Warren which is the start of....The Conjuring.
